The City of Hartford Department of Families, Children, Youth, and Recreation (DFCYR) announces that Nominations for the Hartford Youth Advisory Board (HYAB) are now being accepted! The HYAB provides a unique opportunity for Hartford young people to share in the collective impact of youth voice to make positive changes in their community. HYAB members develop civic leadership skills while developing and participating in various community engagement opportunities with DFCYR and the City of Hartford.
Under the oversight of DFCYR in its role as the Youth Service Bureau for the City of Hartford, the HYAB shall make a continuous review of youth and young adult challenges and opportunities. The HYAB will develop and present recommendations to the Mayor and DFCYR on issues affecting young people in the City of Hartford.
