The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Question and Answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation.

The purpose of the project is to install a cost-effective lighting system on the bridge that highlights the unique features of the structure. Installation of LED light fixtures and conduit is proposed along the north and south elevations of the bridge with the light directed toward the stone pier noses. A new electrical service cabinet on the East Hartford side of the river is proposed to provide the power to the lighting system.

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.

Construction is anticipated to begin fall 2024 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $1,200,000. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with zero percent Federal funds and 100 percent State funds.
