Assessment Board of Appeals
This Commission is responsible for hearing appeals related to the assessment of property.
Meets: No later than March 1st immediately following the assessment date, per property owner hearing date.
At least once in the month of September, annually, for the sole purpose of hearing appeals related to the assessment of motor vehicles.

recommends ways of correcting deficiencies that prevent persons with disabilities from functioning as full citizens by determining areas of need.
LGBTQ+ Commission
Assists in the elimination of bigotry, discrimination and prejudice against lesbian, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons in the city.
Commission On Refugee And Immigrant Affairs
Create a means for refugee and immigrant voices to be heard and understood, to facilitate civic engagement among refugees and immigrants, and to recognize and legitimize issues of importance to new arrivals to the City of Hartford.
Cultural Affairs Commission
Develop an arts policy every five years, assess the conditions and needs of the arts community and analyze services provided to the arts community
Dedication Committee
Make recommendations to the city council with respect to the naming of any piece or parcel of public land and any public building or street, and designation of any day of observance
Energy Improvement District Board
Creates a comprehensive plan for and develop and finance various types of energy projects, e.g. renewable resources, cogeneration systems, and microgrid

Manages the affairs of the Greater Hartford Transit District which is responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of systems for the transportation of people and goods within the sixteen towns of the Hartford metropolitan area.
Hartford's Film, Video and Media Commission
Promotes the use of the City’s locations, facilities, freelancers, independent entities, and services for the production of films, videos, television programs, audio recordings, digital and social media efforts, and other media-related products.
